About Amoké Kubat

I am a 20 year devotee of Ifa/Orisa, a West African (Yoruba) Indigeneous Spirituality. I was born gifted with Ancestral wisdom. As a young child I was able to see and hear Spirit. I created rituals to strengthen my connections to those I now know as my African and Native American Ancestors and the Universal Forces known as Orisa.

I have been blessed to have studied under the tuteledge of Iyalosha Songobunmi (goddaughter of Baba Medahochi Zannu), Iyaloshas Adekola Adedapo and Osun Miwa, and Mamaissi Vivian of the ATR of Vodun. In 2005, I was initiated by Phillip Neimark (author of The Way of the Orisa, and The Sacred Ifa Oracles) and his wife, Iyanifa Vassa, at the Ifa Foundation. I am a priestess of Yemaya and IFA. I am continuing my studies under the astute tuteledge of Baba Awo Fa'Lokun Fatunmbi.

My spiritual name is Iyanifa Adelabú. It means "the crown crosses deep waters with success!" I am the bridge between our Motherland and the peoples of the African Diaspora. I am the link between the Ancestors and their living descendants. I am happy to share my journey across these waters as well as serve those who seek a transformation in their life, as well as a connection to the Immortal Ones.
